Social media today is definitely more influential than it was intended to be at first, or maybe its just how i see it. Take for instance the recent case of “Cocky Mcswagsalot” might sound like a dumb name if you have no clue already who she is but this “extra-regular person” started off a chain of tweets about how she felt about juror b37 (the juror whose opinion was a decider in the case against George Zimmerman) getting into talks about a book deal, after exclusively having interviews on CNN. The juror was becoming an overnight anonymous celebrity over a ruling that shocked a good portion of the whole world. Mcswagsalot would eventually put out a petition appealing for signatories against the book deal, a little feat at first but it went viral and would eventually be a vital blow in ensuring that the attention…
