Santacruz is a Suburb region of mumbai which fall under the H East and H West wards of the Municipal corporation of Greater Mumbai. Santacruz is a densely populated area. The locality had a population of 675,951 persons in 1991, over an area of 12.98 square kilometers, giving it a population density of 36,668 persons per square kilometer. Making it one of the most pact areas of mumbai.

History and Today:
Santacruz is one of the few names in the world which has been written in many different forms still all meaning the same.The term Santacruz in portuguese means ‘Holy Cross’. During the portuguese rule they had made a church which still stands tall in santacruz. However, today the building and whole aea is under the authorities of Sacred Heart boys school.
